I was born in Oceanside, NY of British West Indian heritage, raised in London till the age of 7, and then returned to the States with my parents, settling in Long Island, NY. Earning my BA from the highly esteemed Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University I served six years in the US Air Force. After my honorable discharge, life changed dramatically.
Hi, I’m Kenneth, a veteran of both the military and entertainment industries. I’ve “gone Hollywood” and come back! After the Air Force, I moved to LA and worked for two decades at major studios and production companies. I was involved in theatre, film, television and marketing – I know production inside and out. I can tell you, real estate transactions are productions too; your open house visitors are your audience!
Lessons learned about being polished, presenting well, and professionally representing my clients stuck with me. I left the studios to learn the mortgage business (before the crash) and discovered how much I enjoy working directly with people, negotiating one-on-one deals.
I became a licensed Realtor in 2008. Once in San Francisco I started at Climb Real Estate Group and was soon lured by Lennar Corp to tackle new home sales in the city. Good experience! Now an Oakland resident, I’ve landed at Winkler Real Estate Group, where I’ve received an incredibly warm welcome.
This is such an inviting community of professionals, Danny especially. Sunny, Joe and Asshis are always on hand, and my colleagues are forever extending themselves, whether seasoned or new. It’s great; we’re encouraged to be flexible, creative, and innovative within a highly professional structure.
After my workday ends, I enjoy cycling, swimming or cooking (Italian is my favorite cuisine; Spaghetti a la Carbonara is the best. comfort food. ever.) I love to hang with my three teenage sons, or walk Murphy, our Shih-tzu-Yorkie terrier. And I’m proud to be part of a veterans’ organization that does vocational training and assists with PTSD treatment.
